Marvel Decides To Advertise The Second Issues Of Their All-New All-Different Relaunch As Well

Second_Issue_Last_Page_AdApparently, and this is apparently news, after the first issue of an ongoing superhero comic book, there's a second. And Marvel are launching an advertising campaign to educate the public that they don't have to stop reading after the first issue of Iron Man says that Mary Jane is Tony Stark's long lost sister, or whatever they come up with.

n addition to heavy promotion and marketing for the first issues, Marvel is rolling out the red carpet for the second installments of these highly anticipated titles. Along with added publicity, web advertising and web skins – each new All-New, All-Different Marvel first issue will conclude with a full page advertisement for issue #2. Prompting fans who've just finished these exciting first issues to come back for round two!

More seriously, there is often a dropping off of sales and orders after the first issue of a series. Retailers know that some people collect first issues, some decide they don't like the comic after trying the first issue, and so drop second issues as a result, forcing the publisher to relaunch with a new first issue even sooner.

Here's the kind of webskin they'll be using to promote this… on sites other than Bleeding Cool…
