Marvel Use Monsters Unleashed To Try Out Some New Creators
The Monsters Unleashed comic mini-series from Marvel is full to busting with A-list artists, with Cullen Bunn writing it all.
But the spinoff .MU books seem to be doing something different. Marvel have announced a bunch of new books for February – one of which you'll have heard mentioned in Bleeding Cool's MCM London Comic Con coverage last month.
And a few of them will be familiar to readers of Princeless. The writer of Princeless, Jeremy Whitley who also has the upcoming Wasp series, is writing Champions #1.MU and All-New X-Men #1.MU. Princeless: Raven artist Ted Brandt is drawing Champions #1.MU with his partner Ro Stein.
Paul Allor, who did work briefly on Year Of The Marvels, but is better known for his IDW Turtles work and the the Image title Sheltered, is writing Inhumans #1.MU with artist Brian Level who has worked on Image books Lazarus and Mantle, as well as that Year Of The Marvels book.
And Julian Lopez, whose mainstream work has been restricted to DC, does his first Marvel work on Doctor Strange #1.MU.
