Matt Hawkins And Rahsan Ekedal's Think Tank For August
We've just had Manhattan Projects from Image, the latest in a run of fantasy science comics (and yes, I have my own somewhere in the pipeline). In August we get the next one, from Top Cow's Matt Hawkins and Rahsan Ekedal, Think Tank.
And it's hard not get the original Manhattan Project fear from this comic. A research scientist given the revelation that the work is being used to kill, kill and kill again. An allegation that can be handed to anyone who voted for a government that does the same. Little bit of politics there.
Anyway, this one decides to do something about it. By doing nothing. And when forced to, finding a way to do something to ensure he won't have to do anything again.
It probably helps that he's a good looking slacker with hair that tousels just like that. With a reluctant, put upon, ethnically diverse research scientist as a stooge, patsy and loyal co-confident.
It's going to be solicited as a four issue series. That's clearly not long enough, if handled right this could easily be another Chew or Transmetropolitan.
