Nerd Food: Maudite Belgian Style Double Ale
New Years Eve was a laid back one for me. It was far too cold to venture outside for any great length of time, so my favorite guy and I cracked open this bottle of Maudite from Unibroue to kick off our NYE! This Belgian Style Double Ale is frankly delicious. One of the first things you notice as you pour this beer, is the stunning amber red. This medium bodied ale delivers a smooth caramel flavor, with a little bit of spice. This is a damn fine beer, and one that you can thankfully get year round. If your New Years resolution is to drink more unique beer, I can't recommend this beer enough. It's the perfect size for sharing, and is a great way to kick off a relaxing evening!
