Nice Guys Snyder, Lemire To Donate A.D. After Death Proceeds To Creators For Creators Grant

A.D. After Death, the new Image Comics series from superstar creators Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire, hits stores tomorrow. If you were on the fence about picking it up, you might like to know that Snyder and Lemire plan to use some of the book's proceeds to benefit the comics community at large:

Announced at Image Expo earlier this year, Creators For Creators is founded by Iron Circus Comics, Image Comics, and an all-star list of pros as "an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization intended to encourage, support, and promote original works through grants and education." It's main prize is a $30,000 grant to a single creator or creative team for the purpose of producing an original comics work of 64 to 100 pages in length, which would make that person or team amongst the richest people in all of comics (there's not a lot of money in comics). Submissions for this year's grant ended on November 1st, and the site doesn't have any info up yet on submissions for next year.
