The Official Origin Of James Bond To Be Told As A Comic Book, Announced At 2017 Diamond Summit
The Dynamite Entertainment presentation at the Diamond comic book retailer summit taking place in Chicago right had plenty to show off regarding the many comic books they publish, from Betty Page to Mighty Mouse to the Sovereigns.
But the big news was their new James Bond comic book project, Origin.
This will be the 100% origin story of the secret agent James Bond, officially approved by the Ian Fleming estate.
The creative team have not yet been announced, but Bleeding Cool understands that it is intended to be set in the original James Bond timeline, with his adventures in World War II.
Dynamite has been publishing a number of James Bond-related comic books in the last few years, in a deal orchestrated by Forbidden Planet co-founder Mike Lake, and have had some top name creative talent, including Warren Ellis, Kieron Gillen and Andy Diggle. But this may be in an entirely different league, and is likely to bring a lot of attention to it.
They had other comics to show off as well, Some James Bond-related, some not… including a tease for a high profile for their Shadow comic.
