Previewing Action Lab's "Chainsaw Reindeer" Massacre Comic In Time For Christmas

This could be the worste timing, or the best timing, depending on how your marketing head positions itself. But Brandon Rhiness, Carlos Trigo, Przemyslaw Dedelis and Nicholas O'Gorman have a new comic book out for September. Though it may be better timed for a few months later. The Chainsaw Reindeer One-Shot. In which a reindeer has enough of Santa's abuse and embarks on a world-wide swath of destruction… with a chainsaw.

Published by Action Lab: Danger Zone, Brandon Rhiness of Misfits and The Boy With a Balloon For A Head alongside artist Carlos Trigo of Crimson Society, and 2000AD, features one of Santa's reindeer on a murderous chainsaw rampage.And when killing at the North Pole isn't enough to satisfy his blood lust, he starts a massacre around the world…

Rhiness describes it as "exactly what it sounds like. If the title makes you stop and take a longer look, this book is definitely for you! This one-shot is all blood, guts, gore and carnage. If you're looking for deep themes, thought-provoking dialogue and rich characters, this comic is not for you. If you want to see a reindeer kill people with a chainsaw – keep reading."

He goes on to say, "So many comics these days seem like the same thing you've read a hundred times before. Chainsaw Reindeer is a new and fresh read. It'll put a smile on your face." Then adds, "I want readers to be able to read a hilarious, shocking, fun story that isn't part of a longer story arc.
