Alison Sampson and Peter Milligan's Hit Girl in Mumbai for October

Alison Sampson was double-tabling this past weekend, first at Brighton Graphic on the Saturday, then Portsmouth Comic Con, where I bumped into her, on the Sunday. She was mostly showing off h work in the Image Comics series with Steve Niles, Winnebago Graveyard, but there were hints of what is to come. Last year, it was announced that she and Peter Milligan would be working on a Hit Girl series for Millarworld and Image Comics, set in India, one of a number of Hit Girl storylines set around the world. At a panel on the Sunday, she revealed that the comic was planned to be published from October, that she had almost completed it well in advance and that her co-panelist Ram V makes an appearance as a character in the comic book. Sampson is a fan of using photo reference – and this may be the first time Hit Girl's appearance will be modelled on an actual twelve-year-old girl.
