ComiXology All Over The World – China For Superboy, Israel For All Star Superman, Everyone Else For Batman And The Walking Dead

It's time for another report from the Comixology digital battlefield, which would've been a great opener were this a week with a new issue of Garth Ennis' Battlefields on the stands (so happy that book is back, by the way. Every time someone complains that War Stories was better, another Mark Millar book gets greenlit for a movie). However this was a week with a new Walking Dead issue, so perhaps I should've chose an opening that had some kind of metaphor involving reanimated corpses. Or crappy TV shows. Getting off topic, let's save the bitter television shouting matches for the forums, we're here to look at the charts.

This week was a strange one (aren't they all?) and it illustrates the varied strengths of the bigger comic companies at the moment for even though Batman #15 takes top prize in Great Britain, Australia and the Philippines, and The Walking Dead #105 roaming it's way to the top in Canada, the U.S., France, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Sweden and Norway, Marvel still made significant noise, besting DC in slot spots in 8 markets. Radiohead has a song called "We Suck Young Blood" and it seems to be an idea echoed by much of the comixology world considering how many spots Avengers Arena pops it's ugly little head up in. Japan, who seems to only show love to comics that are either adorable or involving giant robots, chose giant robots this week with Transformers Spotlight: Orion Pax #1 in first place, India takes their comics with a side of human bean juice as Before Watchmen: Rorschach #3 hurms its way to the top, Israel gets their noble hero quest on with All Star Superman #5 leading the charge, and China likes Superboy #15 which I'm just happy doesn't involve any sort of face stealing atrocities (it doesn't does it? I don't read any of the new DCU comics because quality).
