Michael Siglain Quits DC For The Mouse

Michael Siglain Quits DC For The MouseWord reaches me that Michael Siglain, editor of Detective Comics and other related books, has left DC Comics for a new position at Disney Publishing.

This job has nothing to do with Disney-owned Marvel Comics, though it's unlikely some at DC will see it that way.

To replace him on Detective, the High Five favourite  Pornsak Pichetshote, (the man with the funniest name in comics beating Randy Queen by a wide mile) though I understand that Vertigo have designs on keeping him. Adam Schlegman is also a favourite. But another option is going publisher hunting.

Siglain worked under Mike Marts at DC – the ex-editor of Marvel, who still stays in touch with a number of his old friends. Might one of them be tempted to pick up the phone?

DC did not return e-mail inquiries.
