Oh, The Inhumanity #2 – Advance Reorders Kick In
Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!
Well, it worked. Renaming Inhumanity: Medusa #1 to Inhumanity #2 really goosed those orders and the comic is topping the advance reorder charts. Wolverine #1's place on the charts is also down to a ridiculous promotion, encouraging retailers to order huge amounts now, to be exchanged for an exclusive variant cover of a heavy promoted issue in September. But Superior Spider-Man keeps packing on those reorders, refusing to drop orders, issue after issue, and retailers left scrambling to catch up.
