Saturday Trending Topics: No Evil

Saturday Trending Topics: No EvilThe WonderCon Green Lantern footage was the big buzz of the day, and seems to have turned perceptions of the flick around substantially.  Announcements from the con dominated conversation both here and elsewhere, but on another subject I suspect that the Sucker Punch that Brendon snuck in with Zack Snyder is just the opening round of that conversation.

Dan Didio is the New Nightwing and Other DC Nation Revelations by Peter S. Svensson

Dan admitted that because he'd forgotten which was the latest issue of Brightest Day to come out in stores, the original plan for the panel would have spoiled a major twist of the series. Bob Wayne poked fun at Dan for admitting it, while fans begged for the spoilers anyways. But Didio would not yield. The Great Doctor Who Conspiracy Of 2011

Steven Moffat, showrunner for Doctor Who, never likes to leave an idea unexplored. Even if he's explored it elsewhere. His award winning Blink was based on a short story in the then-recent Doctor Who Annual, What I Did On My Christmas Holidays By Sally Sparrow. With added monsters. His Silence In The Library rested in part on his sensational Continuity Errors short story from Decalog 3. And The Eleventh Hour had much in common with another Annual short story, Corner Of The Eye, introducing the race of Floofs who live alongside humans, always out of sight, just as Prisoner Zero does with Amy.

Sucker Punch: Ten Interesting Questions

Yesterday, I got a chance to speak with Zack Snyder, the director of Sucker Punch. During our conversation, I showed him a draft of something I was working on, for any comments and contributions he might like to make.
