With the conversation about Action Comics #900 still going strong, a new debate begins about Captain America in Secret Avengers #12.1 and its references to events surrounding Wikileaks. And today, Wikileaks took notice. But politics in comics didn't begin when Clark Kent started taking on wartime topics for the Daily Planet in the 1940s, and it won't end after the last book examining the political influence of V for Vendetta is written. Francis Manapul On Leaving Flash… In A Flash
Artist Francis Manapul didn't draw last week's issue of Flash, Scott Kolins did, despite Francis being listed in the solicitions, and the book having been rescheduled after previous issues were late. Francis is also no longer listed on upcoming issues, which has caused some pained internet discussion.
Scam Artist Josh Hoopes Is Back, Posing As Wizard World's David Johnson
Over a number of years I have exposed the crimes of one Josh Hoopes of California in the comic book industry. Initially his scam was to both post and answer "artist wanted" ads. He would quote very low prices to writers and publishers to provide work, and very high prices to artists looking for work. He would get the artist to work from the script he got from the writer/publisher and begin forwarding the pages. He would demand money from the writer/publisher to keep delivering pages, but none of that would reach the real artist. He would then vanish with the money. The artist was never paid and would give it up as a bad job. The publisher would possibly have an incomplete work, some went so far as to publish it, only to be confronted by the real artist asking where their money was.

So, Superman may not stand for America anymore. But it seems that Captain America doesn't stand for Truth either. And as for Justice, well that's debatable.
