Today, at Baltimore's Graham Auditorium, 1pm, a lecture, reception, and book-signing with the author of Medusa's Daughter, Jonathon Scott Fuqua and artist/graphic novel illustrator Steven Parke. Medusa's Daughter is being released simultaneously in three formats, novel, graphic novel and novella. The books tell the story of Maia, a 15-year old orphaned girl from Greece who finds herself in a seventies European sideshow due to her ability to control her hair,. as she tries to unravel her past.
She's probably Medusa's daughter, then.

The house-clearance auction of Amazing Fantasy #1 and Avengers #1 that Bleeding Cool mentioned the other day is hotting up. Since we wrote a piece, the auction house in question Mound City Auctions has received a large amount of interest from specialist dealers, which it didn't seem prepared for – this is the first time they have ever auctioned a comic book. Other issues included in the sale are Showcase Comics #22 with the first appearance of Hal Jordan. Green Lantern, as well as X-Men #1. Not the Jim Lee one.
