Romesh Ranganathan Writes For The Wicked + The Divine Next Week

Romesh Ranganathan is a British stand-up comedian and presenter at home doing stadium gigs as he is appearing on the likes of Mock The Week.

And, as of next week will be writing comics as well as being one. He is writing a story in The Wicked + The Divine Funnies one-shot special, out on November 7th.

The comic (which they toyed with calling The Wicked + The Canine but I would have preferred The Wicked + The Divine Comedy) already has an all star comic book team joining Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, including Chip Zdarsky, Kate Leth, Larissa Zageris, Kitty Curran, Hamish Steele, Erica Henderson and Margaux Saltel but now it has added star power. To British comeduy fans that is. Who won;'t understand the comic at all unless they are also The Wicked + The Divine fans too.

For those unfamiliar, here is a smattering of Romesh's work. I wonder if he'll be getting his mum to contribute to the comic book as well?

Every ninety years gods are reborn as dogs. They are good dogs. They are very good dogs. In two years, they may have learned how to sit, which is one of several (count 'em!) stories in this special. As THE WICKED + THE DIVINE prepares for its final arc, we invite a bunch of friends over, pass out the fizzy pop and sherbet and have a lovely time. Join us!In Shops: Nov 07, 2018
