The Dark Droids Saga comes to an end from Charles Soule and Marvel Comics today, first set up a year ago in the first Star Wars Revelations, the second of which came out last week. Who knew it would have had such an impact? First the Scourge Of All Things came for the metal, telepathically posessing the droids of the Star Wars universe, Empire and Rebel Alliance alike…

…and in doing so, exposing the hypocrisy at the heart of Star Wars that had been glossed over so many times, the slavery of sentient robotic life, the torture, the pain inflicted, without ever questioning it.

….then for the muddle, the hybrids and cyborgs, from Luke Skywalker to Darth Vader…

And finally for the mind. and then it came for the mind, taking over organic life in its quest to feed on all sentience.

And from the mind, onto the Force…

…and then everything. And everyone.

Of course, this is Star Wars and such a thing won't stand. The Scourge cannot control all things as they have a Return Of The Jedi movie to play out next. But what of the droids?

Well, Ajax Sigma is very much a player in this. An ancient droid mind of rebellion looking for another place to mount his mission.

With the Church Of The Second Revelation not being quite the mounting stage he once may have thought it could have been.

But it is all set up to play out further. Freedom for droids! Droid rights! What if one of them just trued to mind control the entire galaxy, it was a long, long time ago and in a galaxy far, far away…
