Sympathy for a Skrull in Next Week's Meet the Skrulls #1?

The shapeshifting alien race known as Skrulls are typically portrayed as villains, using their powers to infiltrate the Earth, impersonate heroes, and generally attempt to expand their evil space empire. But next week sees the launch of Meet the Skrulls, a 5-issue mini-series by Robbie Thompson and Niko Henrichon which aims to show Skrulls in a different light.

In this preview of next week's Meet the Skrulls #1, we see Alice, a Skrull masquerading as a human high school student, bullied by mean girls on a school field trip.

WHO DO YOU TRUST?
The Warners are your typical family. Dad works at Stark. Mom works in a senator's office. Jennifer and Alice are students at Stamford High School. The only thing that makes them different is that they're shape-shifting Skrulls and have infiltrated our society to pave the way for a Skrull invasion. Robbie Thompson (SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL) and Niko Henrichon (DOCTOR STRANGE, Pride of Baghdad) bring the Marvel Universe down to earth with a bold new look at the Skrulls that will test even YOUR loyalty.
