TBA Joins Cullen Bunn for Asgardians of the Galaxy's War of the Realms Tie-In

A fan-favorite artist is being brought in to team with writer Cullen Bunn on the War of the Realms tie-in for Asgardians of the Galaxy. Marvel media partner Newsarama earned an EX-X-XCLUSIVE solicit reveal from their feudal lords, and it shows that TBA will draw Asgardians of the Galaxy #9, which sees Valkyrie take on Malekith's invasion as most of the other Asgardian gods are busy, missing, out of action, or simply unwilling to appear in Asgardians of the Galaxy.

War of the Realms is Marvel's biggest-ever super-mega-crossover event, so it's no surprise they would bring in a hotshot artist like TBA. TBA has been announced for dozens of high-profile Marvel comics in the past. Sadly, TBA always seems to be replaced before the book hit stands, a clear example of bait-and-switch marketing.

Regardless, we will just have to have faith that TBA will stay on Asgardians of the Galaxy #9 when the issue hits print, as we can't imagine another artist possibly doing a better job.

Asgardians of the Galaxy #9 hits stores in May. War of the Realms kicks off in April.

New York City is overrun with Malekith's invasion forces. Earth is inches from falling to the Dark Elf King. And with Thor missing in Jotunheim, All-Father Odin injured and All-Mother Freyja about to embark on a mission of her own, Valkyrie is one of the few gods left to face the onslaught. But her fate is intertwined with another. What of Annabelle Riggs, the mortal girl who shares the body of a god? THE RIDE OF THE VALKYRIE begins here!
