The State Of The Marvel Universe Today – Will Bucky Hail Hydra?
We begin with Ultimates, Captain Marvel talking about the trial of Hawkeye with Blue Marvel. And not asking why they share the same superhero surname. She can't imagine he won't be found guilty? Has she not seen the image for Occupy Avengers?
Talking of which, in Squadron Supreme, a certain someone is using Ulysses for their own mystical divination…
And manages to find a future to come…
…with one problem.
Who was killed off in those first issues of Squadron Supreme.
Well, firstly, again, look to those Marvel NOW images for another clue….
Here's something. Squadron Supreme seems to interpret Ulysses as having self-fulfilling prophecies, as did Civil War: Spider-Man, while all the other books treat it as predicting a future that isn't self-fulfilling and can be prevented by intervention. Still, how do his powers work. Iron Man in Spider-Man?
Iron Man… you have been to the future. You have had a time machine. And also you build a machine, the Chaos Computer, that did this exact thing. And now you pull the profiling label on Miles Morales?
Nova is also freaking out about Ulysses and as to where his loyalties lie…
Although, those who read Civil War II #3 know where those chips will lie.
And it may end here.
While in All-New Wolverine, Captain Marvel is still badgering Ulysses, seriously, he must be so fed up with this kind of thing right now.
Isn't his hipster haircut punishment enough?
Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat is dealing with She-Hulk being taken off the table… and full of feels.
Full of feels… as writer Kate Leth told Marvel.com
Kate Leth: With what's happened to Jen, Patsy's not taking either of their sides. Whether it comes across on the page or not—we are, after all, an all-ages book and won't get too dark—Patsy would believe that any fight that results in injury to her best friend—as well as other serious events that occur—is not a fight she wants any part of. I'm honestly interested to see the response to issue #8; it's going to be a doozy.
But it's not all Ulysses, Hulk and Hawkeye. Other things are also happening in Marvel as a universe… Uncanny Inhumans hinted that the Terrigen cloud may be sentient – or at least have a motorboard engine.
As Contest Of Champions comes to an end, a planet made of ISO-8 is still right there…
While in Thunderbolts, those who have read recent Captain America comics will get a totally different read from this scene…
Hail Bucky?
