Viz Comic Gives You A Digital Sample

Viz Comic Gives You A Digital SampleViz is Britain's best selling comic, selling to adults, from the top shelf of many a newsstand. It's a heady mix of social satire and sexual parodies of classic children's comics, with a series of Onion-like parodies of modern newspapers and the kind of feature stories they run, with little journalistic merit. It's also very funny, especially the first time you come across it. Getting copies outside the UK can be tricky however.

Which is why Viz is available digitally in two forms. One, Viz Magazine, the latest issues, digitally captured verbatim for £2.49 an issue on iPad and iPhone. Or a newly released Viz Strip Teaser, which contains just the comic strips, for £1.49. And October 2011's edition free, with the Fat Slags getting involved in fake psychic readings, Sid The Sexist trying to recreate Carry On moments with preictable results, Biffa Bacon trying to start a riot in his local town, while Modern Parents also find themselves a little riot obsessed during a middle class dinner party.

It's basically Avatar Press meets The Daily Show. And October's Viz Strip Teaser edition is free…
