Will Marvel Kill Aunt May? Plus, Hunted, Amazing Spider-Man's Biggest Story of the Year…

Nick Spencer has been slowly making up for his time making Captain America a Nazi in Secret Empire by writing a pretty damn good Amazing Spider-Man comic with Ryan Ottley, but could Spencer be about to throw all that goodwill out the window and earn the ire of the comics internet once more by killing a beloved character?

That's one reading of the solicit below for Amazing Spider-Man #15, which says that Spider-Man's Aunt May is in danger, which would normally prompt a seasoned comic book reader to roll their eyes. Of course, Spider-Man will save Aunt May. But then the solicit goes on to say, "You think you know where a story like this is going, but you DON'T. Because Taskmaster and Black Ant are on the scene, and they don't have a problem with collateral damage."

So will May be the victim of a Marvel trademark shocking death? Or perhaps a critical injury of some sort? Will it have anything to do with the time that May was in danger of dying, and Spider-Man had to give up his marriage with Mary Jane in a deal with Mephisto to save her? Peter and Mary Jane are back together now, after all. Will Spider-Man have to cut a deal with the devil to save her again? One More One More Day?
