Will We Get A New Origin For Doctor Strange In The Comics? Or Will Agents Of SHIELD Nick It?

142273-196318-doctor-strange_superSo, we now know that the new Doctor Strange movie won't show an origin for the character. It will just begin with the character already established as the Sorcerer Supreme.

Which does give opportunities for the rest of the Marvel media. But who will pip them to the post?

This could be the opportunity for the comics folk to put together a new Year Zero style Doctor Strange book, twelve issues mirroring the look of the film, written in consultation with the screenwriter, that can be collected in a nice thick volume and sold to movie goers as the official prequel to the film, so they can still get their origin.

Or maybe Season Three of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will deal with the rise of a certain Stephen Strange from surge to sorcerer?

Or maybe both?

Because just because one medium has decided to spurn the concept of origin stories, doesn't mean everyone else has to think the same…
