First Trailer and Poster for Ruth Bader Ginsburg Biopic 'On the Basis of Sex'
The end of the year is when all of the awards movies start to come out, and Focus Features has thrown their hat into the ring with On the Basis of Sex. This is a movie about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the case she brought before the supreme court that helped overturn gender discrimination. Focus has released a trailer, poster, and some images from the production.
Summary: The film tells an inspiring and spirited true story that follows young lawyer Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she teams with her husband Marty to bring a groundbreaking case before the U.S. Court of Appeals and overturn a century of gender discrimination. The feature will premiere in 2018 in line with Justice Ginsburg's 25th anniversary on the Supreme Court.
On the Basis of Sex, directed by Mimi Leder, stars Felicity Jones, Armie Hammer, Justin Theroux, Kathy Bates, Sam Waterston, Jack Reynor, and Cailee Spaeny. It will be released on December 25th.
