[POSSIBLE SPOILER] Who Is Michelle In 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'?

There have been quite a few questions surrounding the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming but one of the big ones is "who is Michelle?" Michelle is a character played by singer/actress Zendaya and there have been rumors about her from day one. The biggest one is that she is going to be Mary-Jane which sent the entire internet into a pseudo racist tantrum but it's looking like that isn't the case. Her name really is Michelle but we still don't know anything about her. CBR managed to get their hands on a copy of the junior novelization of the movie so now we know who she is. However, if this turns out to be true, it will be a spoiler so if you don't want to know anything about the movie it would be best to skip this article. As for the rest of you let's see what's going on here.

The novel has said that her last name is Toomes making her the daughter of Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes aka The Vulture. This isn't that surprising of a twist and we won't know who is aware of the connection until we see the movie. That being said it's once again the idea of coincidence much like the way the twist in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. It's the idea of complex character charting that makes a world feel small instead of big. This connection could work out in the movie storywise but it seems very lazy on the part of the story writers. We don't know yet because the movie isn't out but of all the reveals this one is the lamest.

Summary: Following the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), Peter Parker attempts to balance his life in high school with his career as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, directed by Jon Watts, stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, and Michael Keaton. Swing on down to your local theater and check it out on July 7th.
