Sounds like we might have another Marvel winner on the horizon. At the moment this is mere a rumor and it's probably going to be a little while before we find out whether or not it's true, but it wouldn't be the first time a television show has been renewed before it was released. SpoilerTV has reported that Freeform is so happy with the show so far that they have renewed it for a second season ahead of its 2018 debut:
"According to a source, production on the 2nd season is to to begin next month in New Orleans and will last till October."
There is still no release date for the first season of the show, but if they're already filming a second season this summer, then early 2018 is the best bet.
Summary: Two teenagers from very different backgrounds find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love.
Cloak and Dagger stars J.D. Evermore, Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, and Miles Mussenden. Its first season will have 10 episodes and debut on Freeform sometime in 2018.
