Teen Titans Go! to the Movies: Slade Wilson Calls Deadpool a "Rip-Off"
Teen Titans Go! to the Movies has a joke in the theatrical trailer that makes fun of Slade Wilson and calls him Deadpool. It's one of those extremely self-aware jokes that are probably going to turn up in this series. The two movies have been trying to one-up each other ever since. When Deadpool posted a music video with Céline Dion, Teen Titans followed it up with a video by Michael Bolton. Ryan Reynolds even joined in with the joke on the official trailer, leaving the following comment:
Now that Deadpool 2 is out this week Teen Titans Go! to the Movies released a new video where Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, roasts Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, for ripping him off.
Summary: A villain's maniacal plan for world domination sidetracks five teenage superheroes who dream of Hollywood stardom.
Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, stars Scott Menville, Tara Strong, Khary Payton, Greg Cipes, Hynden Watch, Kristen Bell, and Will Arnett. It will be released on July 27th.
