Two 'War For The Planet Of The Apes' TV Spots Introduce "Bad Ape"

We have a new TV spot and trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes. The TV spot has a nice "roll credits" moment as it talks about defending the human race so this doesn't become a "planet of apes" which was a little funny. The trailer introduces us to a new character named "bad ape" who is the first new ape that Caesar has met since everything went to hell two movies ago. Much like Nova he is being pit as a character that could change the course of the war.

Summary: After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind.

War for the Planet of the Apes is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, Judy Greer, and Terry Notary. It will be released on July 14th.
