WWE Star Mocks Fired Colleague, Is Rebuked By Entire Industry
Following yesterday's news that Emma, Summer Rae, and Darren Young were released by WWE, NXT wrestler Lio Rush took to Twitter to post an ill-timed and insensitive joke about Emma, who had recently lost to Asuka in Asuka's WWE debut. In the now-deleted tweet, Rush wrote, "I guess these are the things that happen when you're not TRULY ready for @WWEAsuka ??"
The tweet was very poorly received by industry veterans both inside and outside the WWE, with tweets such as:

Other stars, including Sean X-Pac Waltman, Dash Wilder, and Tessa Blanchard also tweeted rebukes of Rush, only to delete them later. Rush, for his part, issued a quasi-apology, claiming that his tweet was taken the wrong way:

And NXT General Manager and trainer William Regal came to Rush's defense, sort of, chastising the wrestlers who called out Rush on Twitter and suggesting talking to Rush privately would be more appropriate:
