The series is based on an unproduced Spillane screenplay called The Night I Died, which will be adapted by Road to Perdition writer Max Allan Collins, who was entrusted by Spillane himself to finish some of his uncompleted works after he died. Marcelo Salaza and Marcio Freire are the artists for the series.
