AJ Francis: Triple H Ready to Discuss Black Lives Matter Anytime

Former NFL player turned WWE Superstar working in WWE's developmental program AJ Francis took to Twitter to offer praise for Triple H. Francis says Triple H told everyone in NXT that they can come and talk to Triple H anytime they want about Black Lives Matter and the ongoing protests in response to the killing of George Floyd by police, widespread police brutality, and institutionalized racism.

"While somebody out here snitchin to these dirt sheets about everything, somebody need to snitch that @TripleH came & told us all that if we today, tomorrow or ever want to talk to him about our feelings on #BlackLivesMatter he wants to have that convo #NXTTakeOver #InYourHouse," Francis tweeted, adding, "And HE DONT HAVE TO DO THAT and he still made sure we knew that we could… that's an ally."

Francis was met with pushback for his tweets, with people bringing up past storylines involving Triple H, such as the time Degeneration X dressed up in Blackface to mock the Nation of Domination or the Triple H's feud with Booker T. Others posted the photo of Triple H with the McMahon family meeting WWE Hall-of-Famer President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Francis replied, "Meeting with Trump doesn't mean that you believe with every single thing he believes in. Grow up."

The next day, Francis found that people were still responding negatively to his post. In response, he tweeted, "Damn I woke up with a lot of white people in my mentions telling me how to feel about someone's newfound belief in the #BlackLivesMatter movement… Well, I been BLM since me & my dad almost got killed by the police in '02… so I guess y'all out here protesting for the likes?" Asked to comment further on the matter by journalist Sean Ross Sapp, Francis replied, "Thank you but I said everything there is to be said. 🙏🏽"
