Black Lightning Season 1: the People of Freeland Regaining Their Hope

The CW has released an inside look at tonight's new episode of Black Lightning. Executive producer Salim Akil talks about how the community is reacting to the return of Black Lightning and how when someone is fighting for you it makes you want to fight for yourself. This is the effect that Black Lightning has on the city of Freeland. He brings hope by standing up. We also get to meet Lady Eve as played by Jill Scott. It's hard to tell in the clip what her relationship is with Tobias Whale (Marvin 'Krondon' Jones III), but she obviously doesn't want the people, Black Lightning or the church taking back the streets.

Nafessa Williams then talks about Anissa and her trying to figure out these new powers she has. What they mean and what she is. She doesn't know where to get the answers or even who she can talk to about them.

Black Lightning airs tonight at 9 PM on the CW.
