Crisis On Earth-X: Why Joe Quesada Will Be Watching The DCTV Crossover

With the Crisis on Earth-X crossover two days away, we're starting to get some more information and TVLine seems to have some good inside scoops. Along with the evil versions of Supergirl, Green Arrow and The Flash… Overgirl, Dark Arrow and Dark Flash, we also get to meet a good version of Leonard Snart who goes by Citizen Cold and a new hero joins the Arrowverse from the comic book pages. The Ray, who will be getting his own animated series Freedom Fighters: The Ray on the CW Seed, will be making his debute. The Ray, real name Raymond Terrill, and played by Doctor Who and Quantico alum Russell Tovey. And it's likely that Joe Quesada will be watching the show.

The Ray is a newer character compared to some of the Arrowverse. He was created in 1992 by Jack C. Harris and Joe Quesada in The Ray #1. This has to be pretty interesting for Quesada who is now synonymous with Marvel Comics to be seeing one of the character he created for DC coming to life.

The Ray is an openly gay character, not the first in the Arrowverse, but the first to headline a series (even animated). Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), another of the Arrowverse's openly gay characters is going to have a much bigger part in this event than he did in Invasion. Kellum says, "I think he really helps figure out some stuff [about] what's going on with Crisis-X." And the actor also added that there is some chemistry between Curtis and Ray. "We had some fun scenes that we shot together."

Crisis on Earth-X airs Monday night at 8 PM on the CW then concludes on Tuesday night at 8 PM.
