Donald Trump Enjoys UFC 327 as U.S./Iran Negotiations Fall Apart

It seems Donald Trump wasn't going to let the news of talks between the U.S. and Iran falling apart spoil his night at Dana White's UFC 327.

"The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement, and I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the United States of America. So we go back to the United States having not come to an agreement. We've made very clear what our red lines are." That's what VP JD Vance had to share on Saturday night (in the U.S.) about the talks with Iran. If he sounds solemn, it's understandable. The news is not going to help him develop a reputation as "The Negotiator" going into the 2028 elections. Of course, the rest of the world has a ton of other reasons to worry about the news – but not enough for Donald Trump to miss out on UFC 327 from Florida on Saturday night. Vance claims that Trump was kept informed of what was going on with the talks at least 6 times, so whatever Trump heard must have made him feel comfortable enough to check out an MMA fight.

If you were wondering if this couldn't be more batshit crazy, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was already there to greet Trump, though it seemed like UFC boss Dana White was the one Trump wanted to spend time with (sorry, Marco). So, just to be clear? As Vance and his team prepare to head back home, having gained absolutely nothing despite marathon negotiations, Trump's getting his ego stroked by White and the folks over at tonight's UFC event. Even as the world awaits what all of this means. Nice, huh? In case you need to check out what Vance had to say – it's not a whole lot – then check out what CBS News had to share below. As for Trump, well… let's just say that there was a whole lot of irony to his entrance music being Kid Rock's "American Badass."
