Who knew you'd have Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to thank for getting a better sense of how Lucifer star Dennis Haysbert's King Grayskull will look in Netflix, Mattel Television, and showrunner & EP Kevin Smith's animated sequel series Masters of the Universe: Revelation? See, we like to look at Bleeding Cool in the same way as the popular candy. BCTV is the chocolate and BC Comics is the peanut butter. And while both are just dandy on their own, when they're on the same page? Well, it's two great tastes that work well together. For example, BCTV reported when the official trailer first dropped that Haysbert would be assuming Grayskull royalty. Then, BC Comics revealed that this week's Dark Horse Comics' prequel comic Masters of the Universe: Revelation (written by Smith, Rob David, and Tim Sheridan, with artwork by Mindy Lee and lettering by Deron Bennett; Rico Renzi is the colorist, with Stjepan Sejic covering covers) offers a look at King Grayskull. And now BCTV is back to tie all of that hard work together into one neat package, as you're about to see (followed by the official trailer and more intel):

The war for Eternia culminates in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION, an innovative and action-packed animated series that picks up where the iconic characters left off decades ago. After a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. And after decades of secrets tore them apart, it's up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes, and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.

Along with the animated series' July 23rd debut, fans can also look forward to the aftershow special, Revelations: The Masters of the Universe Revelation Aftershow. Hosted by showrunner & EP Kevin Smith; EP & Vice President, Content Creative, Mattel Television Rob David; and actress Tiffany Smith, the 25-minute talk show and celebration of all things "MOTU: Revelation" boasts a guest list that includes Mark Hamill, Chris Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lena Headey, Tiffany Smith, Henry Rollins, Griffin Newman, Jason Mewes, and Alan Oppenheimer.
