Fans of Freeform's Siren from Eric Wald and Dean White may not have realized it before, but it looks like Bristol Cove isn't that far from Orphelin Bay, the Australian fishing village setting for Netflix's familar-sounding new drama Tidelands.
Set to premiere on the streaming service on December 14, Tidelands follows Charlotte Best's (Home & Away, Puberty Blues) Cal McTeer, returning home to Orphelin Bay for the first time after a ten-year stay in juvenile detention then jail. But the home she's returning to isn't the one she remembers. Shrouded in mystery and fear, Cal finds herself working to maintain the peace between the village's citizens and a commune of half-Siren (???)/half-human "Tidelanders."
