Pat McAfee "Happy" Aaron Rodgers Won't Be on Show for Post-Season

During his show, Pat McAfee announced that NY Jets QB Aaron Rodgers won't be back for the post-season, explaining why he's "happy" about it.

It turns out that the end of Aaron Rodgers' NFL season as a weekly guest on The Pat McAfee was this week – with the NY Jets QB going out in a huff of Jimmy Kimmel excuses, more wacky COVID conspiracy, some shade thrown at an ESPN executive, and a lot of "But wait! I'm the victim!" Earlier today, Pat McAfee announced during his Wednesday show that Rodgers is done for the season – no post-season appearances, though earlier rumblings were that he would be on for the playoffs. "There will be a lot of people who are happy with that, myself included, to be honest with you. The way it ended, it got really loud. I am happy that he's not going to be in my mentions going forward, which is great news," McAfee shared, adding that he was looking forward to shifting the focus back to sports.

But McAfee did take a moment to throw some love in Rodgers' direction "Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Famer. He's a four-time MVP. He's a massive piece of the NFL story whenever you go back and tell it. He will be a huge part of it," McAfee said. "We are very lucky to get a chance to chat with him and learn from him. Some of his thoughts and opinions do piss off a lot of people. I'm pumped that that is no longer every single Wednesday of my life, which it has been for the last few weeks." Of course, McAfee had his own issues with ESPN last week – accusing one executive, in particular, of attempting to "sabotage" his show.
