Rogers: The Musical Making Jump from "Hawkeye" to Disneyland Resort
Making the jump from Marvel Studios & Disney+'s Hawkeye, here's how you can see Rogers: The Musical this summer at the Disneyland Resort.
At this point, the only way this is going to end is as a Hamilton-like filmed performance for Disney+. Starting out as a very funny scene in the streamer service & Marvel Studios' Jeremy Renner & Hailee Steinfeld-starring Hawkeye, "Rogers: The Musical" appears to continue to be getting the last laugh. Haven broken through into our world at least once already (see below), the in-MCU musical will be making its one-act way to the Hyperion Stage inside California Adventure Park this summer for a limited-time engagement. In the streaming series, Renner's Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) is the solo Avenger who attends the New York premiere and… well… it doesn't take long for things to get "jazz-handy" uncomfortable.
Here's a look at the teaser that was released along with the official announcement, with more details on the show, the music, and more coming our way at a later date – take a look:
And here's a listen to "Save The City," performed by Adam Pascal, Ty Taylor, Rory Donovan, Derek Klena, Bonnie Milligan, Christopher Sieber, and Shayna Steele. Following that, we have a look back at Rogers: The Musical at D23 (courtesy of Variety):
Renner and Steinfeld were joined on Hawkeye by a pretty impressive line-up of names. Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel) as Eleanor Bishop, mother of Kate Bishop (Steinfeld), while Fra Fee (The Spanish Princess) was Kazi (most likely short for Kazimierz Kazimierczak), aka mercenary villain Clown in the comics. Tony Dalton's (Better Call Saul) Jack Duquesne (aka Swordsman?), a possible mentor for Hawkeye who had lived on both sides of the law throughout this comic book career. Florence Pugh reprised the role of spy and assassin Yelena Belova, sister of Black Widow, from the Scarlett Johansson-starring film Black Widow. Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez (aka Echo) is a deaf Native American who can perfectly copy another person's movements, making her a formidable fighter.
