SNL On-Stage Promos: Shane Gillis Gets 21 Savage's Approval & More

Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson joins host Shane Gillis and musical guest 21 Savage for this week's SNL on-stage promos.

On Wednesday, NBC's Saturday Night Live checked in with its midweek sketch with stand-up comedian Shane Gillis (who is being joined this weekend by musical guest 21 Savage) getting a chance to workshop his monologue with SNL stars Marcello Hernandez & Sarah Sherman (more on that below). That night, we got a chance to check in with Gillis and the SNL cast during the official read thru for this weekend's episode. And now, it's time for Gillis and 21 Savage to take to the stages of Studio 8H for their on-stage promos – joined by SNL icon Kenan Thompson. In the first, Gillis & Thompson realize that 21 Savage lives that "21" live outside of the recording studio, too. Following that, Thompson & 21 Savage confuse Gillis with every other white guy comic with a mic. And then, Gillis goes for a bold fashion statement – and gets someone's approval.

And don't forget that on March 2nd, we have Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You) hosting, with musical guest Kacey Musgraves. Following that, on March 9th, we have Josh Brolin (Dune 2) hosting, with musical guest Ariana Grande. Now, here's a look at Gillis during the read-thru:
