Writers Vs Artists – Artists Win! At MCM London Expo
Despite Leah Moore scoring a record perfect five in 42 seconds, the Writers Vs Artists parlour game playoff at MCM ended with the Artists going home with the prize for the first time in living memory.
Leah was joined by hubby John Reppion, Gail Simone and Tony Lee as they faced off against Gary Erskine,. Paul Duffield, Rufus Dayglo and Emma Vieceli as the traditional Writers Vs Artists game packed out the hall at MCM London Expo, with standing room only for many.
The challenges included Pictiuonary and Taboo, stretching both teams artistic and verbal dexterity to convey an idea, thought or comic book as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Past stars of the game, Kieron Gillen and Antony Johnston looked on, pleased that they had been spared this most challenging of tests to their communication skills. Emma Vieceli went the other way, she has often arranged this, and other events, at MCM. Now, she is a participant instead. And she had real difficulty drawing Captain America…
