First Look At The Cast Of The New Jem And The Holograms
Jem and the Holograms is not one of those 80s pop culture icons I hold dear to my heart even to this day, but it appears I'm in the minority because the internet flipped its collective lid today for the cast announcement and first image/poster from John M. Chu's live-action remake.
That's them above, Aubrey Peeples as Jem, Stefanie Scott as Kimber, Aurora Perrineau and Shana and Hayley Kiyoko as Aja.
This story will follow Peeples' Jerrica as an orphaned teenage girl who becomes an online singing sensation and along with her sisters/bandmates:
embark on a music-driven scavenger hunt — one that sends them on an adventure across Los Angeles in an attempt to unlock a final message left by her father.
Filming is now underway.
