Marvel To Release Second Graphic Novel For Once Upon A Time: Out of the Past
Calling all OUAT fans! Marvel and ABC Studios are announcing an all-new original graphic novel, Once Upon A Time: Out of the Past. This is a follow up graphic novel to Once Upon A Time: Shadow of the Queen. On April 1st, this 112-page hardcover will hit comic shops and stores everywhere, and will detail the origin stories of your favorite characters.
Two of the stories will feature Killian Jones, before he became the wonderful notorious Captain Hook, and Rumplestiltskin and Belle's relationship when Belle was just a servant in his castle. The graphic novel will also include a story about Evil Queen Regina, and the portal-jumping Mad Hatter.
Once Upon A Time: Out of the Past brings together the best graphic novel creators in the industry, including "Once" series writer Kalinda Vazquez, Corinna Bechko (Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen, Planet of the Apes), and will feature the fantastic art of Eisner award winning Janet Lee (Dapper Men, Emma), Pascal Campion (Penguins of Madagascar, Sherman and Peabody), Vanesa Del Rey (Hit, Sinatoro), and Betsy Peterschmidt (Boys With Wings.)
I don't know about you guys, but I've been going through hardcore Once Upon A Time withdrawal ever since the series took its winter break. I'm super excited to read this book because I am a huge Captain Hook fan and would love to read any story about him. I think it's great that ABC is branching the TV show out and putting out another graphic novel. Especially because the first one was so successful. I think we've all seen in the past that fans get really immersed in shows (including myself) and there is a huge dynamic for this type of series expansion. I cant wait to get my hands on it!
