The Top 10 Black Panther Stories Seem A Little Light On Jack Kirby

The recent launch of a new Black Panther comic along with his appearance in Captain America: Civil War as played by Chadwick Boseman, the character of T'Challa is finally getting the spotlight he deserves. One of the best and most underused characters in the Marvel Universe, fans are eagerly awaiting his own film.

Marvel has put together a list of the Top 10 Black Panther stories of all time… can't say I argue too much with the list. But they didn't pick any from the Black Panther solo series of the 70's done by Jack Kirby. That series may not have been as socially topical as some of the other choices, but they were good stories done with amazing art. And they hold a special place in my heart as I found all those issues at a comic convention in 1981 where I got the signed by Kirby. They're still the pinnacle of my collection.
