John Byrne has pointed out a fair few times his annoyance with this famed bitchslap of Green Lantern by an elderly black gentleman for his lack of racial awareness.

But it took fellower travelling James Hudnall to mock up a similar take into illustrative form…

Although I have to worry… is Hal Jordan about to use his power ring on an elderly frail non-powered man? I don't think that would play so well in the media.
