Is This The Worst Looking Comics Store In America?
Or at least the worst looking one that's been featured in a major newspaper article?
A&M Comics has had a big splash in the Miami New Times as one of the oldest comic shops in the country, Running since the mid seventies, it doesn't look like its had a redesign since.
You can't fault it for not having enough stock. Even, it seems, collectable pizza boxes. But heaven help you if you wanted, you know, to find something. Or, you know, wanted to walk from one side of the store to the other without ducking. As the paper says;
When you walk into A&M Comics on Bird Road, you might think that you've walked into a taping of A&E's Hoarders. It's stocked from ceiling to floor with comic books, collectible figures, T-shirts, and posters. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the array of comic book paraphernalia, and even the owner admits that there is no kind of inventory taken, per se.
And I am sure it is well loved by its clientele. But damn. Something tells me they need a POS system stat!
