ICv2 – 2010 Comic Sales Down 5.79%

Year-to-date sale of comics and graphic novels through Diamond Comic Distributors are off sharply when compared with sales during the first 11 months of 2009.  Dollar sales of comics were down by 5.79%, while graphic novels have suffered a somewhat smaller decline of 4.35%

Amit Desai Named Warner Bros.' DC Franchise Guru – The Hollywood Reporter

Amit Desai has been named senior vp franchise management for DC Entertainment at Warner Bros., it was announced Friday. The former Warner Home Video exec will develop and implement the individual franchise plans for Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, the Flash, MAD Magazine, Vertigo titles and other DC properties. This will include driving wider cross-promotional support across all Time Warner divisions.

Top 100 Graphic Novels November 2010

In total, Image Comics had three of the top ten best-selling graphic novels in November. In addition to The Walking Dead Volume 13, Chew Volume 3: Just Desserts ranked #6 and The Walking Dead Volume 1: Days Gone Bye (which served as the basis for AMC's television series) ranked #9.
