Report: Spider-Man Homecoming's Tom Holland Will Play Nathan Drake In Shawn Levy's Uncharted Movie

Tom Holland

Tom Holland has been cast as a young Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie franchise, according to a report from Deadline. The movies will serve as a prequel to the video games, inspired by a part of the third Uncharted game that flashed back to show young Drake in action. According to the report, Sony head Tim Rothman reportedly demanded the reworking of the Uncharted movie franchise plans personally after seeing Spider-Man: Homecoming, indicating Sony is very pleased with Holland's performance and see him as able to carry not one but two franchises simultaneously. Shawn Levy is directing the first film, produced by Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner. The film was originally scheduled for release June 30, 2017, but was pulled from the schedule last year by Sony.
