The Punisher: New Viral Videos And Photos For Netflix Series
The instagram account for the upcoming Netflix series The Punisher has been active over the last several days. The account has been posting what look like either mini promos or viral videos for the series along with some images that could be either set photos or made to look like security footage. They don't tell us much but if this is the sort of marketing we can come to expect from this series we're in for a treat over the next several months.
First we have what looks like someone trying to find Frank (Jon Bernthal) through some sort of facial recognition software.
Next, whoever is "looking" for Frank finds him in the next image.
The next one is where the images look a litle vaguer. The reason why I don't think this is a behind-the-scenes image is because all of the Marvel Netflix social media accounts are "in character". It looks like we see Karen Page in there and Frank's late wife. There are a few images here so make sure to scroll through them.
Next we have our first set of videos. These two are captioned with "nothing left to lose" as the camera pans over everything Frank Castle has lost.
Finally, we have our last piece of promo. This one looks like they are taking from soldiers body cams and security cameras. There is no indication of when this takes place whether it is in the present day or sometime in Frank's past
The Punisher has a panel scheduled for New York Comic Con that will hopefully tell us the mysterious release for this series. The running rumor is currently November 14th but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
The Punisher, from showrunner Steve Lightfoot, stars Jon Bernthal, Jason R. Moore, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Michael Nathanson, Jamie Ray Newman, and Amber Rose Revah. It will stream to Netflix sometime in late 2017.
