Marvel is publishing one issue of Avengers in December, Avengers #674. It seems to be a normal state of affairs, the fifth and final part of Worlds Collide by Mark Waid and Jesus Saiz. A cover by Alex Ross and a Phoenix variant cover by Brent Schoonover

As you might expect, But Marvel will also have Avengers #675 for January 10th for $4.99 with a leaked advance listing that says so much – and yet so little.

The listing reads "Classified". No creative names are mentioned, at least not for the inside.

But Marvel will run a launch party promotion for Avengers #675 out on January 10th 2018, complete with party invite postcards, and variant covers including Party, Premiere, Trading Card, Artist Var, Alex Ross, Alex Ross Sketch, Var, Skottie Young. So whatever it is, it's clearly a thing.

Could it be the Jason Aaron/Esad Ribic run I'd mentioned earlier? Or something else entirely?

Looks like some folk couldn't wait until #700 for the big one…
