Will Booster Gold be Heading to Tom King's Sanctuary Crisis-Centre? (Batman #47 Spoilers)
At the DC in DC event earlier in the year, Tom King announced a new project called "Sanctuary" which is going to be a DC universe-wide comic book about a facility for superheroes to go, after they have suffered from witnessing or being involved in extreme acts of violence, modelled on veterans' crisis centres.
We saw a brief mention of it in Tom King's Batman, as somewhere Poison Ivy could go after the events in Everyone Loves Ivy.
In today's Batman #47 by Tom King, Tony Daniel, Danny Miki, Sandu Florea and Tomeu Morey, we meet a very traumatised Booster Gold. We landed in this new world, where Batman's parents had not died, to see a Jokerised Hal Jordan shoot himself in the head. And in the course of the events of the last few issues of the comic, it gets worse and worse. Imprisoned in a cage for months…
…spruced up but not right in the head.
Yet more trauma from a man who, as he said, just stole some stuff and went back in time…
…and after what he sees, is now performing like Lady Macbeth.
Could Booster Gold be joining Poison Ivy? People thought that this may refer to his recent issues of Batman…
…but Harley Quinn and Booster Gold appeared separately. Could they be in Sanctuary together? Harley Quinn's past as Doctor Harleen Quinnzel, psychiatrist, may be relevant…
BATMAN #47
(W) Tom King (A) Sandu Florea (A/CA) Tony S. Daniel
"THE TRAVELERS" part three! As Booster Gold, Batman and Catwoman zero in on the time anomaly, what they find and their actions to correct it will have ramifications on all of the DC Universe. Tom King and Master Class artist Tony S. Daniel end their first story with a bang that will tee up the next big development in the Batman/Catwoman romance.
