Chad Michael Murray Heads to Riverdale

Riverdale has cast Chad Michael Murray in a recurring role on The CW drama.He will be playing Edgar Evernever, who viewers of the show know as the leader of the mysterious Farm cult that Betty's mother and sister belong to. Edgar arrives in Riverdale to preach his word and try to "heal the town's rotten soul". Edgar has only been mentioned at this point, never shown. Murray of course is best known as the star of the drama One Tree Hill, and to MCU fans from Agent Carter.

Archie steps back into the ring; Alice goes deeper with the Farm; Jughead visits the Heart of Darkness; Veronica juggles duelling villains.

My guess is that Edgar appears at the end of this next episode. They have never been shy about announcing casting before they appear on the show, damn surprising us ever. Murray feels like an actor that should already be on this show anyway, so this is a win-win situation for all.

Riverdale airs on The CW Wednesdays at 8PM. It can also be viewed for free on The CW shortly after airing on the network.
